A Secret to Increasing Your Productivity
You may have noticed a decrease in emails going out each week for the last month. I want to apologize first because I am still aiming to provide as many financial tips on a regular basis to keep us on track for an upcoming economic downturn.
For the past few weeks, I’ve been on vacation and wedding planning. Taking time off of work has seen a mentality shift that I completely forgot about. Sometimes it’s good to feel human again.
If you’re feeling burnt out, that’s no way to reach your goals. If you’re fighting to make it to the end of each day, you’ll never be prepared for tomorrow. That said, today’s article is about your mental well-being and how a vacation can make you more productive and more focused on your financial goals in life.
Spend Money to Make Money
It may seem contrary but taking time for yourself can be the best way to realign to your goals and reflect on where you’d like your career to go. I found that after returning from a weeklong vacation recently, my energy levels increased by twice the usual amount and I came roaring back to tackle my professional and personal projects.
This extra motivation has shifted my relationships to a more positive light and I’m able to aid my friends where possible which leads to an extra feeling of fulfillment.
I argue to take a summer vacation if you’re overdue. That can be the best for your energy levels. Although it may come at the detriment of your wallet, your mental state and a life lived is the highest priority. There’s no right way to do life but it’s all about balance.
Have a great week,
Jordan
